Shipping policy

1. 🏠 Mandatory Address Requirement (NEW RULE)

  • From January 2026, every shipment must include:
    • Saudi National Address OR
    • Short Address Code (e.g., ABCD1234)
  • If missing → shipment will be rejected or fined

2. 📄 Required Documents

For shipping to KSA, you usually need:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • Bill of lading / airway bill
  • Certificate of origin
  • Import license (if required)

👉 Missing or incorrect documents = delays or rejection

3. 💰 Duties & Taxes

  • VAT: 15% standard rate
  • Custom duty: usually 0% – 15% depending on product
  • If shipment value is below SAR 1000 (~$266) → may get easier clearance

4. 🚫 Restricted & Prohibited Items

You cannot ship:

  • Alcohol & drugs
  • Weapons
  • Pornographic material
  • Certain medicines (without prescription)
  • Some electronics without approval

👉 These items are confiscated or destroyed

5. 📦 Customs Clearance Process

  • All shipments go through inspection
  • Authorities check:
    • Value
    • Description
    • Documents
  • Duties must be paid before delivery

6. ⚠️ Common Reasons for Delay

  • Wrong or missing address
  • Incomplete documents
  • Incorrect product description
  • Missing approvals for restricted goods

7. 🚚 Shipping Types

  • Air freight → fastest, expensive
  • Sea freight → cheaper, slower
  • Door-to-door → includes customs + delivery
